I am very happy to be part again of the Creative Music Series @ 1313 Hollis in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, as well as teaching at the wonderful Creative Music Workshop.

Here is the list of concerts, that are about to happen. I am especially thankful to get the chance of presenting the Canadian/US-version of my recent project „Queen Jazz live“ on Friday, July 12!

TUESDAY, JULY 9 TRIO GRANELLI, GRANELLI, KÖGEL: “FLIGHT”
Our musical relationship spans the last 30 years, it is unpredictable, joyous, masterful.

We will record our live set and will put it online.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 10 STRINGS, WIND, THE VOICE, METAL
This year the great Jay Clayton returns to Halifax as the visiting master for CMW. She joins us in this concert of spontaneous composing with Michael Blake, Peggy Lee, J. Anthony Granelli, Jerry Granelli and myself. Special guest Jay Clayton vocalist.

THURSDAY, JULY 11 OLD CITY NEW VOICES ALBUM RELEASE CONCERT
Featuring: Andrew MacKelvie, Andrew Jackson, Ross Burns, Jackson Fairfax-Perry, Nick Dourado, plus the faculty of CMW 2019, with Jay Clayton.

FRIDAY, JULY 12 CHRISTIAN KÖGEL: THE MUSIC OF QUEEN PROJECT
An evening of music inspired by iconic and theatrical rock band Queen.
Featuring: Christian Kögel, Michael Blake, Jackson Fairfax-Perry, J. Anthony Granelli, Jerry Granelli.

SATURDAY, JULY 13 THE DANCE OF SOUND, THE SOUND OF DANCE
SUSANNE CHUI MOVEMENT, with Peggy Lee, Michael Blake, Christian Kögel, J. Anthony Granelli, Jerry Granelli, Jay Clayton.
The dance of sound, the sound of dance. Part of the vision of CMW has been to present interdisciplinary work. This concert features Susanne Chui who is faculty and an extraordinary dancer.

SUNDAY, JULY 14 – 2PMHALIFAX CENTRAL LIBRARY
CREATIVE MUSIC WORKSHOP CLOSING CONCERT
CMW closing concert will premiere new music written by students as well as collaborations between faculty and students, offering a showcase for CMW students to share what they have been creating in a community environment. Listen to the results of hard work, collaboration and risk-taking.
